Dr Joanne Martin comes to Shaw Road Medical Centre with over 30 years clinical experience. She graduated with honours from the University of Queensland in 1988 and obtained her fellowship with the RACGP in 1993, and has wide experience in all aspects of general practice. She worked for 3 years as a Paediatric Registrar and continues to especially enjoy looking after the health and well being of babies and children. She also has a special interest in mental health and women’s health (including antenatal care). She has been working in remote indigenous communities in Queensland and the Northern Territory for more than 10 years and continues this important work for some weeks each year.

Dr Adam Currey grew up in the old Coast hinterland before moving to Brisbane to study medicine at the University of Queensland. Adam has been working as a General Practitioner in Brisbane since 2013.
His special interests include paediatrics , cardiology, musculoskeletal medicine and sexual/LGBTI health.
Adam is a dog lover and has a very spoilt Golden Retriever named Max.

Mark Goss was born in Australia and has been working in General Practice since 2007. His special interests include: General Medicine, Paediatrics, Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery, Cosmetic Medicine – anti-wrinkle injections, fillers, no scalpel mole removal, PRP (“vampire face-lift”) and Pelleve wrinkle reduction. Dr Goss also holds Fellowship qualifications in Anti-Ageing and metabolic Medicine, and offers Integrative & Nutritional Medicine, and IV Nutrients (Vitamin C infusions etc.).
He first trained as a Registered Nurse, then completed studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and then Naturopathy. Following completion of my Medical Degree and General Practice Fellowship exams, He did post-graduate studies in skin cancer medicine and skin cancer surgery. Later, completed a Diploma of Aesthetic Medicine through the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.
He holds a Fellowship with the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (FACNEM), and has completed studies for his Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Metabolic Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (FAAMFM).
He is certified with the American Board of Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine (ABAARM). He is a certified SIBO practitioner and is also a Biobalance Health trained doctor. He is a member of the Celluar Medicine Association and trained by the inventor of the O-shot; P-shot; Vampire Face lift and Vampire Hair Restoration PRP techniques.

Dr Torres has extensive experience in women's health, both clinically and academically in 3 different countries: USA, Brazil and Australia. She was a Post Doc Fellow at the famous Mayo Clinic hospital where she performed outstanding research in gynaecological oncology and earned a Master’s degree in biomedical science and clinical and Translational Science. She finished her post graduate diploma in gynaecology in Brazil and she also performed a PhD in oncology focusing on cervical cancer. She arrived in Australia 5 years ago in which she has worked in leading hospitals such as Western Health in Melbourne, Gold Coast University Hospital and recently at the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital and is finishing her RANZCOG advanced diploma. Dr Torres is passionate about women’s health and joined MyLocalDoc to take care of women that need individualized care.

Dr Suvarna Chavan obtained her medical degree more than 30 yr ago and successfully completed general practice fellowship degree in Australia after practicing in a GP setting for 13 years.
She has enjoyed all areas of general practice. However, she’s particularly passionate about working with women with breast cancer and women’s health and children, elderly. and preventative medicine.
Through continuous professional development and a commitment to evidence-based practice, Dr Suvarna . stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical treatments and procedures. Her approach to patient care involves providing holistic and individualised treatment plans that are both effective and achievable, taking the time to listen to each patient’s concerns and needs.
She strongly believes in the value of collaborative healthcare and works closely with his patients and other healthcare professionals to achieve better health outcomes and improve quality of life. As a dedicated and compassionate doctor, Dr Suvarna is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of her patients and strives to be a trusted and respected member of the healthcare community.
